The BioPet DNA Proof of Parentage Kit is a unique tool for both the purebred puppy purchaser and breeders. According to the AKC, 5 percent of registered dogs are not the offspring of the parents listed on their papers. Buyers of purebred dogs are aware of this and seek proof that the dog they are buying is truly the puppy of the parents advertised. DNA testing is the only way to positively prove parentage. Breeders can use the BioPets DNA Proof of Parentage program to perform their own parentage analysis. Once your DNA results are uploaded to the website, you simply enter the DN numbers for the sire, dam and puppy. The built-in analysis tool on the website will compare the DNA profiles for all three dogs and return a confirmation that the breeding is either Qualified or Disqualified. If it is qualified, a certification will appear next to the puppy name on the website. A DNA Proof of Parentage certificate will also be generated that you can post online when selling your puppy or print out to show to prospective puppy buyers. Each DNA Proof of Parentage Kit includes membership to the DNA World Pet Registry. Purchase 1 test for each dog involved - puppy, sire and dam. DNA Test just once per dog. You never have to retest a dam or sire once you obtain a DN number for them.
