Save the Elephants

Your Dog Can Help Save Elephants!

Please join Cherrybrook in helping rally support for Warrior, Machine and Zack —three Ranger Dogs in Kenya that help protect elephants from ivory poachers.

We’re helping The Nature Conservancy recruit dog lovers around the world to raise awareness for elephants and to inspire people to donate for these canine heroes.

Here are four ways that you can help:
1. Turn your pets into Honorary #RangerDogs and share the photo on social media to help get attention for this project. It takes about two minutes and is super fun! Be sure to tag us, too! @CherrybrookPetSupplies
2. Give and get treats: You can donate on The Nature Conservancy's website to help provide food, medical care, security equipment and other essential needs. In exchange you can get great “treats,” such as stickers, dog bandanas, tote bags, and even custom elephant-themed ukuleles from Martin Guitar, founding sponsor of TNC’s #SaveElephants campaign.
3. Visit your local Cherrybrook store and make a monetary donation to the #SaveElephants campaign in one of the donation jars at the register counter.
4. Visit your local Cherrybrook store and grab an official #SaveElephants coloring page to color and enter to win a prize. The grand prize winner will receive a Fluff & Tuff elephant dog toy. For every coloring entry Cherrybrook will donate $1.00 to the #SaveElephants campaign!

An estimated 25,000 African elephants are being killed each year for their ivory tusks. At this rate, elephants could be wiped out in much of Africa in just 20 years. The Nature Conservancy is working with partners to conserve critical habitat, reduce the demand for ivory, engage local communities, and increase anti-poaching security forces, which often include tracker dogs. The dogs have proven to be incredibly effective at catching poachers and more importantly, keeping poachers away so that elephants are safer.
